Everything New

I have a new car! While this picture is not of my car it could be, even down to the color. My new car is a 1986 Toyota Camry but it is young at heart with only 101k miles on it. (Upon closer inspection I guess its not exactly a like because mine has solid rubber bumpers in the front and back.)
So we have have new car covered now its on to find a new job and a new place to live. Ben will be starting school March 30th so hopefully the other new things happen sooner vs. later.

Baby Bunnies

Larissa from mmmcrafts has designed these very cute baby bunnies. She is selling a pdf pattern for these bunnies on etsy. She also has an awake face pattern for the bunnies as well. Aren't they cute?!

These bunnies would make very cute baby shower gifts, birthday presents or Easter gifts. The little quilts are made from charm packs.

I think I would maybe make the tails a different color but they are still very cute.

Cute little girl

Here is a cute little girl stamp I found online tonight. Looking at cute art stuff is one of the ways I like to relax. Job searching is stressful. :( Anyways this stamp is "Whiff of Joy UM Rubber Stamp WILLOW WITH FLOWER BASKET" and comes unmounted.

Dreaming of Warmth and Relaxation

Here is to wishing my mom a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Mean while I wish to pause and dwell on other happy things in life besides birthdays: warmth, stuffed animals, relaxing (and not dwelling on job interviews..,).

Drooling over books

One of my favorite fabric designers, Sandi Henderson, had a new blog post up today. In it she mention this new book called "The Farm Chicks in the Kitchen." After reading several reviews of this book and checking out several recipes by the "Farm Chicks" I decided this book was worthy to be added to my wish list. In addition to recipes there are some cool home decor projects thrown in.

Of course once I started looking at cook books I found another really good looking food book. Yummy!

This book I looked at in person at the book store the other day. I recognized several of the fabrics used in this book as ones from some of my favorite designers. There were lots of colorful pictures.

When I first saw this cupcake book I thought the designs were a little too fancy with too much frosting. I had a chance to look at it closer at a book store and realized that some of the designs like this puppy one used mini cupcakes in the design and not just giant frosting globs.

So these are my sweet book recommendations. My latest craft project was an apron for my cousin but as we will most likely be moving so there probably won't be many if any craft projects to add for a while. Therefore, I will just drool over books and future project ideas for now.

What's Cooking?

I have found that Hero Arts makes some of the cutest rubber stamps. I was looking online at some of the new stamps that have come out this year and came across the "What's Cooking?" stamp set. I think it's just adorable. It could be used for cute recipe cards, recipe scrapbook and food gifts. Plus I personally think the made with love stamp would be cute on the back of all my cards. To check at some of their other new stamps sets visit there website.

Sticking with the cooking theme, check out these uber cute cookie monster cupcakes. I know he will see this but I think these would be cute for my dad's birthday though I believe he would prefer a pie.

Latest Creations

My mom's birthday is this month and I decided to make her a gratitude wrap complete with pre-made cards, made by me, for her to use. I adapted the gratitude wrap pattern from this site.

My adaption included a place for pens as I figured stamps could go in the same pocket as the address book.

Here is the collection of cards I made her. I had fun using all sort of different papers and embellishments. I tried to keep the theme blue and green.

My sister recently went the extra mile for me so I wanted to thank her. I found this cute towel and had to make a cute card to match. We are both crazy about pretty kitchen items.

Both gifts I gave had coordinating gift tags I made using my new tag maker punch from creative memories. This new punch is a lot of fun.

Painting the night away

Last night we redeemed our Christmas gift certificate to the Blooming Brush. We had a very enjoyable time painting with Nate/Sam, and her parents. Ben reminisced of Hawaii with his Plumeria tile that I plan to put to work as a trivet.

This here is my sweet little canister that I have decided will be for storing crafty notions, candy or other fun treats.
